Good test.  But I wonder if it&#039;s the wrong conclusion... maybe it&#039;s not the difference in glass versus plastic, but open container versus closed container.  That is, the hydrogen is not escaping so much through the plastic but instead through the opening at the top of the container.

How about testing in a closed plastic bottle versus an open plastic bottle (even though you have to pour it into an wide glass one day later to get the meter into the water)?</description>
